Craft crystal
Craft crystal, also known as craft quartz, is a special type of quartz crystal, mainly used to manufacture art crafts, high-end
glasses and lighting accessories and other products.
Crystals are divided into natural and artificial crystals. Natural crystals are crystal ornaments and crafts made from raw
materials that are naturally formed, such as those mined from nature and then artificially or mechanically processed.
They primarily highlight their
natural properties. Natural crystals have a density of 2.56-2.66, a hardness of approximately 7, a refractive index of
approximately 1.55, a birefringence of 0.009, and high thermal conductivity.

Art crystal, made primarily from crystalline glass, is a decorative craft that is crafted through a variety of manual or mechanical
processes.
Because it emphasizes the craftsmanship, it is called art crystal. Art crystal has a density of 2.17-3.17, a hardness of
approximately 5.5, a refractive index of 1.47-1.70, exhibits no birefringence, and exhibits relatively low thermal conductivity.
Art crystal comes in a wide variety of colors and types, offering a wide range of uses. Its main categories include art crystal
lighting fixtures,art crystal glass beads, art crystal diamond jewelry (rhinestones, hot-stamped diamonds, and special-shaped

Artisan crystal has the following characteristics:
1. High refractive index and hardness. The higher the refractive index and hardness of the raw crystal glass, the purer and more
crystalline the finished product appears. It is also more difficult to cut and more rare.
2. Sound. When you tap an artisan crystal vessel with your hand, the sound you hear is crisp, like a lingering metallic sound,
with a metallic "clang clang" effect. The harder the crystal, the louder the sound.
3. Luster. In sunlight, high-quality artisan crystal reflects vibrant, colorful light, with a natural and rich transition between the
two colors.
4. Facets and engravings. For crystal diamonds, the number and smoothness of facets on a small sphere determine the
brilliance of the reflected light. The smoother and more numerous the facets, the higher the value. For crystal glass of the
same quality, the more intricate and detailed the carving on a small area, the higher the value.
5. Brand recognition. When choosing artisan crystal products, consider the brand, as only products from reputable factories
can guarantee quality and technical expertise. For example, world-renowned crystal brands include Swarovski.
6. Weigh. If two items of the same size are made of crystal glass, the one made of other materials will be heavier. For example,
one made of ordinary glass will be relatively lighter.
